    Token Ring Module

The Token Ring Module supports all major bridging and routing protocols, ensuring interoperability in multivendor and multiprotocol environments.

The module is fully compliant with the IEEE 802.5 standard and supports all major bridging and routing protocols ensuring interoperability in multivendor and multiprotocol environments.

The Climax900e, Climax950, Climax960 and Climax2000 chassis support one Token Ring Module.

Operational Features

  • Offers address filtering on both transparent and source routing bridging to reduce network congestion.
  • Supports spanning tree protocol to eliminate bridged network loops and enhance network performance.
  • Supports static routing for the IP protocol to enhance interoperability in a multivendor environment.
  • 4/16 Mbps configurable for maximum networking flexibility.
  • Complies with RFC 1490 for encapsulation and fragmentation of LAN traffic in Frame Relay frames for transmission over Frame Relay networks, resulting in reduced costs and optimal use of bandwidth.
  • Compresses LAN traffic to reduce bandwidth requirements and improve response time.
  • Fully SNMP-manageable using CXView, Asce Networks' Java-based management system for monitoring, statistics collection and billing information.
  • Configurable using Asce Networks' user friendly object-oriented graphical user interface, CXTool.
