Asce Networks' Climax
series products support the following modules:
T1/E1 ATM
Module
The T1/E1 ATM module allows compressed voice, video and data over
an ATM network at T1/E1 speeds. The module also provides a full
range of value-added features.
T3/E3
ATM Module
The T3/E3 ATM module allows the Climax950, Climax960 and Climax2000
to send compressed voice, video and data over an ATM network at
T3/E3 speeds. The module also provides a full range of value-added
features.
Digital
Voice Modules
The Digital Interface Module provides up to two T1/E1 ports for
channelized data and digital voice. Each module can support up to
30 digital voice channels with 8:1 compression ratio, using 8 Kbps
(G.729) voice encoding scheme.
Analog
Voice Module
The Dual Analog Voice Module allows users to integrate
compressed voice and fax over a single Frame Relay service.
Serial
Port Module
The serial ports support a wide range of user and network protocols,
including SNA, async, X.25 and Frame Relay at line speeds up to
2.048 Mbps.
Multi-Port
I/O Module
The Multi-Port I/O Module is ideal for serial asynchronous or synchronous
applications in remote or regional sites supporting a wide range
of user and network protocols, including SNA/SDLC, Bisync 3270,
Async, X.25 and Frame Relay.
Universal
I/O Module
The Universal I/O Module is ideal for serial asynchronous
or synchronous applications in remote or regional sites supporting
a wide range of user and network protocols, including SNA/SDLC,
Bisync 3270, Async, X.25 and Frame Relay at line speeds of up to
2.048Mbps.
Ethernet
10BaseT Module
The Ethernet 10BaseT Module supports all major bridging and routing
protocols ensuring interoperability in multivendor and multiprotocol
environments.
10/100
Ethernet PCI Module
The 10/100 Ethernet PCI Module provides higher-speed routing access
for the ever-increasing "installed base" of high-speed
Ethernet networks.
Token
Ring Module
The Token Ring Module supports all major bridging and routing protocols,
ensuring interoperability in multivendor and multiprotocol environments.
56K/64K
CSU/DSU module
The CSU/DSU Module permits the Climax950, Climax960 and Climax2000
to send voice, fax and data traffic over digital networks. The module
can be used to provide either primary access to the Frame Relay
network, or for back-up.
T1/E1
CSU/DSU Module
The T1/E1 CSU/DSU Module permits voice, fax and data traffic over
digital networks. The module is used for primary access to the Frame
Relay network.
V.34
Modem Module
The V.34 Modem Module gives the Climax950, Climax960 and Climax2000
dial back-up capability, providing an alternate connection to the
network in the event of main link failure.
ISDN BRI Modules
The Climax Series supports ISDN BRI modules (two B channels, one
D channel). This allows the units to transmit and receive data over
an ISDN network using a BRI-U or BRI S/T interface
